IPC-6012: Qualification and Performance Specification for Rigid Printed Boards specification covers qualification and performance of rigid printed boards, including single-sided, double-sided, with or without plated-through holes, multilayer with or without blind/buried vias and metal core boards. It addresses final finish and surface plating coating requirements, conductors, holes/vias, frequency of acceptance testing and quality conformance as well as electrical, mechanical and environmental requirements.

The IPC-A-600: Acceptability of Printed Boards is the definitive illustrated guide to printed board acceptability! The IPC-A-600K is a four-color document providing photographs and illustrations of the target, acceptable and nonconforming conditions that are either internally or externally observable on bare printed boards.

The IPC Validation Services QML (Qualified Manufacturers List) is used to qualify EMS and OEM providers’ assembly processes to IPC standards.
